A first time offense of Driving Without Privileges (a.k.a. DWP) is a misdemeanor crime in Idaho. It carries with it a maximum penalty of six (6) months in jail and a one-thousand ($1,000) dollar fine, or both.  It also carried with it a maximum possible penalty of one-hundred and eighty (180) day driver’s license suspension. If you are convicted of a first time DWP offense, the Idaho statute has a mandatory minimum of two (2) days of jail.
